The sounds of something heavy pushing through the branches and leaves at inhuman speed echoed through Flinds' ears.
It was nighttime and the moons glowed red, blue, green, purple and gold on swamp side of Ouuz city. 'I zzhhouuld'-dnn't haz'-at' bin zO caZ'-re'-less! I zzhhouuldn't haz'-at' Fzh-A-ALL-LEn'n ass'sl-'eeeps'z'!" Flind screeched to himself.
He walked passed the dark purple ocean that glowed orange at the bottom and continued yelling and grunting to himself. The heavy sounds got nearer and nearer and seemed to be on Flind's trail. Flind quicken his paced.
Kimcips(a breed between a bird and worm) and Referys(a breed between a bird and a spider) squeaked at him and ran away. Flindz is a breeder you see, his main interests are creatures from Old Earth -if conspirators would just agree there was an old Earth to begin with, but his experiments always lacked memory.
He stepped under the green moon light and started skipping yards at a time. The heavy thing behind him shadowed him ungracefully. Flind scanned the area with his eleven eyes, nine on his face and two just above where his ears should be.
A branch, at least fourteen feet off the ground. Flind took a leap for it, reaching out, the slimey bark of the Barlkin tree would have made any landwalker's grip impossible to grasp it. Flind pulled himself up quietly and gracefully, he was sure that what -or who- was chasing him would lose him for sure.
Flind held his breath, and squeezed his two sets of noses with his fingers. The something -or someone- that had been chasing him abruptly stopped right beneath Flind. The energy that swirled beneath him was immense, epinephrine demanded for a breath, lungs threatening to tear. The skin on the shins of Flind was drapping off, like thick and heavy sludge at the end of a twig. If this was any ordinary land walker, Flind would be persperating at such a large amount, that something would trance him up the branch. The thing sniffed, and touched, and tasted everything it within its distance. He gasp for air and the thing was on him.
